NASA’S Escape Pod
Behold, NASA has now invented a escape pod designed to be
equipped onto the Orion. The Orion can
carry a crew of six to the International Space Station and up to four
astronauts to the moon. The escape pod can automatically launch and separate
from the Orion. Shooting at top speeds of 450 mph in less than 3 seconds from
detachment. The capsule is protected with many layers consisting of metal and
fiber glass. The escape pod consist of computers, programmed to steady the
balance of the capsule as well as direct the capsule to earth which will then
descend and go through 3 stages through the atmosphere. The capsule was Ideally
designed and programmed to land on the ocean but if it hits solid ground, the
Orion will crumple to absorb the blow. The astronauts will be in their shock
absorbing seats which will keep them safe. Scared to death but safe.
