Meteor Shower

Meteor Shower
By: Timothy Kwon, Riley Ryan, Bryce Yeager
On the night of Sunday, April 22nd, 2012, a meteor shower hit Northern California with a loud boom that was heard and felt all over the region. At first it was one meteor the size of a softball but then it broke up above the Earth so multiple meteors hit the Earth. Even though the peak of the meteor shower was Saturday night, April 21st, 2012, light beams will still probably be visible for multiple days.
This meteor shower is called the Lyrids. They usual hit on April 21. This year they hit Nevada and California. Luckily the meteors didn’t kill or injure or destroy anything. Even though these meteors are beautiful sights, they can cause major destruction.
